Fresh news reaching the airwaves alleges that Rita Pam's much anticipated third album, Journey, will be an introspective record. The source says that over the years, Rita has told the stories of others but now it's time to tell her own story. Back in July, Rita Pam announced on Instagram that Journey will be released in 2021. And in a followup on the 10th November, she wrote:
"This album was written in hermit mode, when it was just me and my worst fears. It's an introspective album. It's about human vulnerability; in a second, things can change and all of a sudden, your world is turned upside down and you're thrust into situations where it's a matter of survival and the hell may last years, even centuries. This album is unintentionally vulnerable, if I could have it any other way, I would but I had to write from my heart, for fear, I may never get a chance in this life to tell these important stories"
Fans speculate Rita could be ready to open up and her vulnerability was applauded by many. During her time away from the spotlight, she launched her Organic lifestyle brand, Remmlyn and produced a handful of music for her kid sister, Maria Jacinta, who has been rumoured to have retired from music.
Rita will be returning with new music after a long hiatus. She's said to be collaborating on a broader scale with alot more people and experimenting with more styles and genres, no word yet if she'll feature artists on this record, we'll just have to wait and see. Her last album was Anna in 2014 which was tagged a "Collection of people's stories" She first broke into the music scene in 2007 with her debut record, Beautiful. Her art has evolved over the years as she progressively went from mellow soft pop to electronic and dance and sometimes even mixing both genres as only her can do.
